Testing Calendar Update for October: Please see the image for an updated testing calendar for the month of October. The changes that have occurred are as follows: (1) PSAT 8/9 rescheduled for the Spring (date is TBD after coordination with coaches, UIL, etc. to ensure no conflicts occur), (2) the PSAT/NMSQT will now only be taken by 11th graders next week, and (3) 10th grade will take a Mock PSAT in the Spring (date is TBD after coordination with coaches, UIL, etc. to ensure no conflicts occur). 6th grade is learning how to calculate density of regularly and irregularly shaped items. Last week, Mrs. Powell let them find random items in the room, measure their mass using a triple beam balance, volume using rulers and calculate density using our “heart shaped” equation. It was fun to watch what they chose to measure and watch it “click” when they got to put their hands on it!
